Description

A 39 site RV campground with select sites available for group camping, overlooks the Coosa River. Each site includes electric and water hook up, a grill, and concrete picnic table. There is a centrally located shower and bath house, plus refuse facility at the campground entrance. Group Tent sites available by reservation.

Great little campground located in Wetumpka Alabama, just north of Montgomery. Just minutes away from the new Wind Creek Casino. 39 sites with paved drives, 30/50 electric and water all nestled under plenty of shade and lots of spanish moss. Plenty for the kids to do and even admission to see all the park historical exhibits and the Indian Mound are included. Nights are $18 for RV and $16 for tents. The park was almost full when we where there, but was very well kept and clean. Sites all have a picnic table, grill and hire ring. There are also a couple of groups sites available too. Plenty of space for the kids and adults to ride bikes, go for hikes on the Bartram trail and see history that goes back to 100 AD. Part of the park is on the bluff where the junction of the Coosa and Tallapoosa rivers. History is preserved in the French and American forts on site.
