Description

Pearls are a gift of nature and Pearl Lake State Park is just that. Just a few miles off the road, it feels like an escape into the backcountry of Colorado.

Nestled in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, this peaceful park sits in a serene lakeside setting. Overlooking Farwell Mountain, visitors camp along the shoreline and on a ridge with amazing views.

Excellent fly and lure fishing for native cutthroat trout can be found in Pearl Lake's wakeless waters. Paddleboarders clamor for a chance to launch on Pearl's expansive and st?ill waters. A trail takes visitors along the shoreline and leads them deep into the Routt National Forest. Picnicking is picture perfect. This is a true escape from the day-to-day routine.

Camping at Pearl Lake:
Campsite reservations are highly recommended for our high-use summer season.

Reservations may be made the day you plan to arrive at the park or up to 6 months in advance. Yurts are available year-round. Campers can stay up to 14 days at Pearl Lake during a 28 day period.

In winter, the yurts are open but the campgrounds are closed. If you are interested in winter tent camping, please stop in or call the Steamboat Lake Visitor Center at (970) 879-3922 for more information.

You may reserve yurts and campsites online or by calling 1-800-244-5613?.

Recreation at Pearl Lake:
The Pearl Lake connector trail is a meandering trail that accesses thousands of acres of National Forest. The wakeless lake and flies and lures only regulations provide a quiet sporting experience.

In the winter, Pearl Lake offers serene overnight stays in our Yurts, as well as snowshoeing, skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.
