Emerson Bay’s Lighthouse Point is a focal point on West Lake Okoboji, with spectacular views of the lake from the observation tower. The popular area features a playground, picnic areas, sand beach and a boat ramp. A shelter is conveniently located near the beach and can be reserved online. Emerson Bay also offers a campground with full-hook ups, 50-amp sites, a modern shower and restroom building, and a dump station. Advance campsite reservations can be booked through the park reservation system. One fourth of the campsites are available for self-registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nice park right on the water. Seeing the boat launch got me frustrated yet again that I don't have a boat...
There were a few sites RIGHT ON THE WATER. Seeing as it's fall, it would have been a bit chilly, but yet nice.
I found it interesting that many of the sites had cable TV hookups. Seemed to make many people happy as there was a Hawkeyes game on.
Some of the sites were laid out nice, large, etc. Others were a bit small or harder to access.
They are doing some construction work. It looked like they might be putting in a new restroom facility, but not entirely sure.
