| Unknown | | Great provincial campground! | | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | | Whether you are driving north or south and need to stopover for 1 night, or are locals from the nearby town & city, this is an excellent campground! Located directly at Bear Lake, this has lakeside campsites.
Sites are level and large. Some are fairly wide open (#33 - horrible) and some are closer to traffic noise (highway & railway). Anything in 1 - 29 is great. Keep to 29 to 31 and 49 to 60 on the other side of the campground. The sites 49 to 60 that are shown lakeside, almost all have a small little beach, these are the most popular sites and must be reserved in the spring when the reservation system opens up.
Campground side has a small public beach as well as an adjacent pet beach. It has a washroom/shower house plus another washroom building (but no showers). There is a larger public swimming beach, washroom/shower house, playground, on the other side of the lake campground.
