  One of my favourite parks!

Most of the sites in Arrowhead are considered private. And most would be termed as large. The forest growth is tall enough to offer ample shade in most areas, as well being very beautiful to look at. There is also much ground cover in most of the sites, that give shelter to the wildlife, letting them roam freely. Bears may be seen often enough, but usually they are able to wander through the campgrounds undetected. You are fortunate to see one! This park is also home to deer and wandering moose. Get up early!, take a chair and your coffee down to one of the beaches just before sunrise. If you're quiet, you may be be blessed with wild nature at its best! Moose like early morning swims! Another great aspect of this park is the trails. It is large enough that you don't really have to leave. But if you do, Arrowhead Provincial Park is located central to many other places. Several other provincial parks are within one hour drive, Huntsville is barely 15 minutes away, and Hwy. 60 through Algonquin Provincial Park is a beautiful drive! I've noticed that this website posts many sites as Non-Electric, which in fact do have electrical service.
