Lisa C. | Good site but not as private as the website says | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | It was a good site and had no other site beside it or across from it but it's located on a road that has boat ramp and beach access which meant lots of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Everyone was very nice however, very friendly and very considerate so unless you have a major issue with people walking by it was no big deal! | | |
Unknown | Great site and campground! | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | If you're looking to get away from crowded parks then Restoule is the place. Our site (#53) was fairly private in that there was no campsite across from or on either side of us. Since the road we were on lead to the boat ramp and dog beach we did have a fair amount of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, but everyone was super-friendly so it really wasn't an issue. At night this park is quiet and I heard many frogs, loons and even a couple of owls. At this time of year there were lots of fireflies as well which was something that I thoroughly enjoyed!
The washrooms were as clean as an outhouse can be and had very little smell. We were camped beside one but because of the distance and the fact that they were kept clean we didn't smell them at all. The park wardens drove by fairly often but they are friendly and don't give you any hassels as long as you're following the rules.
The dog beach was nice and shallow although had quite a few pebbles but once you got out a bit deeper it was all sandy bottom.
Fishing off the dock can score you sunfish and small mouth bass!
All in all a great park to escape the city!
Highly recommend! | | |
