Unknown | Private site, very quiet and well shielded on 3 sides | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | While all waterfront sites were booked several weeks from Labor Day weekend, we were able to find an awesome, fairly private campsite (#634). It was well sheltered on all 3 sides, was next to a tap, and a short walk to vault bathrooms.
No neighbors across from us. We had about 10-20 feet of heavy tree coverage on both sides so could not see our neighbors on either side. Only heard them when there was loud talking or screaming. Very secluded feeling site.
A few large rocks backed the campsite. A tiny trail (or a 2 minute rock climb) led to a private flat area above the rocks for the kids to play. A large tarp that shielded the very open front of the site gave us full privacy. A great choice, although I would choose a waterfront site first although some didn't have the same privacy (I like direct, private access to the water for easy canoeing). | | |
